Hello to Jerry, Donna and anyone else reading this... Jerry's online school, Yarnell School Online (YSO) is such a great place to find all of Jerry's instruction and tips. I was one of the first to sign up and I haven missed a month yet, I use it all the time for full size paintings and for reference for my own paintings. It i;s great for beginning painters all the way to the most advanced painters. If you miss seeing Jerry on PBS, check out YSO.

Because I'm a YouTube junkie I have watched other instructional videos over the years. None of them hold a candle to you. Jerry. You have a way of communicating with all of us, from beginner to intermediate to advanced. Whatever problem I am having, I know I can always find a video or snippit that will give me the instruction I need. It's rare that an accomplished profession can communicate at all levels like that.
I have watched you for what, thirty years, forty years? We have never met. You don't know me. But I still consider you a close friend.
God bless you.

Hello,
I just found out your YouTube painting wow. Heard from a painting group on fb. I love painting acrylics and oil but especially oil, I m still a beginner and I make a lot of mistakes . I don’t have very much experience even if I have been painting for 4 years and I didn’t know anything about colour wheel and composition until I saw your videos on YouTube. Would like to buy your dvds or online courses but do not know where to begin. Sometimes I have too much confidence in myself and try anything, but doesn’t always look good

Jerry and Donna,
Thank you for sharing your life's work that has enriched my life with being able to put on canvas the beautiful creation that God has surrounded me with. I started watching you, Jerry, on TV and air painted (no real paint) for 6 months. Then got up the courage to use paint and canvas .and have not been able to stop. You guys are a gift to the art community! God bless you, as you have blessed so many!!!

Hi Jerry. I am 68 years & started drawing as a child. I didn't start painting till my 20s. I am mostly self taught by watching shows like yours as well as others on TV. Working on a winter bison scene currently. Have never painted one before. Fur is biggest challenge. Would love to see some shows on this. Love watching and learning from your lessons. Good bless

Hi Jerry,
I enjoyed attending your in person workshops over the years. My husband, Jack, died a year ago, so I ilost my faithful driver. Now I watch you twice a week on public TV. You have taught me so much to perfect my techniques over the years. I volunteer and help teach art classes for seniors and lead the Artist Studio Group at Rock Valley College, Rockford, IL. Your legacy continues Jerry!

Hi Jerry, sorry you had to down size. I am in the same situation. Moved from a four bedroom house into a two bedroom house because of age and health. I have enjoyed every moment of your lessions. Good Luck and God Bless.
Jerry was the best artist teacher i have seen. Able to explain things in a way you could understand and his paintings were always so beautiful. I don’t get his weekly tv shows anymore and miss them.

Hi Jerry, l am a special needs adult and artist. I've been painting for about 16 years, learning at an adult art program for disabled adults. Our instructor felt I had progressed enough she gave me the opportunity to teach a few of our participants. Though I am not a professional artist or teacher I found it very rewarding. We both watch your show. I've completed several of your instructional paintings. I have trouble finding reference material since I don't drive or travel. Maybe you have some ideas. Thank you and can't wait to see your future paintings.

Hi Jerry, I am a 77 year old great grandmother who has loved painting since my teens. I’ve never had any training, and as I got older I picked up what I do know from books and tv.. I really enjoy watching your program. You recently had a series “ Beside still waters”…that I loved.. I tried to keep up with you but with oils. Mine doesn’t compare to yours, but I loved painting it. God has blessed you with a wonderful talent.

Hello, Jerry. I enjoy all your programs on PBS. You are the best! Your instruction and your personality make the lessons informative and enjoyable. My husband and I usually watch together. I have been painting for years, beginning with acrylic, then china painting, and now back to acrylic which I enjoy very much. I have several of your books and find them helpful also. I am trying to incorporate some of your techniques. Your paintings are beautiful! Thank you very much!

Hi Jerry,
Aspiring artist here! I have been watching you for some time now! Honestly, I can not remember when I started! I have many favorite artists and some of my most favorite has died! Bob Ross, Helen Van Wyck, Wilson Bickford are among the most notable TV personalities! Each of these artists taught me valuable lessons and while different in many ways they all contributed to my learning process!
Currently, in my opinion, you are the best! Your careful, detailed and explanatory approach makes it easy understand and appreciate the process of producing fine artwork! I hope at some time I get the exposure of a personal learning encounter with you before either one of us dies! Morbid, well, not really; realistic😳! Watching your show gives me a lot but an in class experience is something else even if not a better learning experience! At any rate, I appreciate your instructions on Create and think you are the best! May you live long and make many more shows!Hope to meet you some time in the future!👍🌹😌👍
