I so love watching you paint!! I almost always catch your show Paint This on Saturday mornings on PBS and I've purchased several of your dvds. I have always been so amazed how an artist can take a flat blank nothing canvas and create a wonderful painting with such depth and life!!! I'm still in a beginner stage, but learning more and more every time I watch you on tv or a video. You inspire me. Thank you so much for all you do!

Hi Jerry, it is great that we are fellow Christians! I live in the middle of Saskatchewan, Canada, and find your lessons (on TV Saturday noon) very helpful. I took Oil Painting lessons 39 years ago and dropped it. My two other hobbies are photography and wood-working, specializing in picture framing. Recently I picked up on acrylics and have a few paintings with your teaching. Blessings, Alfred.

Enjoying watching your "Ageless Beauty" work and looking forward to trying my hand at it. Using oils, but the principles seem similar. Thank you for a beautiful show!

I have been an artist for most of my life. During this pandemic isolation I came across your program on Create. I really enjoy your presentation and was not surprised to see here that you are also an ordained minister. Keep up the encouraging, thoughtful work and stay well! God bless you.

Always look forward to watching Jerry start a new painting. He makes the acrylics look like oils. Been watching his latest painting of a beautiful country scene and some buffalos grazing along the river.

Thank you, Jerry, for teaching and sharing your talent! God gave you a wonderful gift. Long ago, as a teenager, my military parents enrolled me in an oil painting summer class when we lived in Japan. I didn't learn much but fell in love with painting. Many years went by. I knew I wanted try it again. Didn't know when or how I'd ever learn to paint. Then I saw you on PBS! Wow! I bought some acrylics and have been painting with water mixable oils for a few years now. I am so grateful. You are a wonderful teacher. God bless!

You have been my saving grace in my lowest of times. Loosing my entire career due to an aneurysm and starting to think of suicide and then I found your show. It truly pulled me up from my bootstraps. I began watching and learning, Thank You... Anytime I feel worthless, I paint. And its because of you. Thank You

I discovered you on Create during the pandemic and had been doing a little painting while missing going to the beach, and on a drive, we took a picture of an old deserted church that I wanted to paint but really had no idea how to start. Then what came in your show, which I am DVRing, it was Ageless Beauty and watched #5(could hardly wait for the next episode) today and I am ready to give it a try. I hope to send you a picture when finished. You show has been such a blessing and God Bless. We are in Virginia and a big storm is coming, great time to paint and can't wait to see what you paint next.🙏

Hi! This is my first time visiting your site. It’s very informative. I found many products and information to inspire me to begin painting again. I haven’t painted artistically since High School. I received a Boston Globe Scholastic Art award many years ago. It was very satisfying to accomplish a painting that was admired by others. I hope to begin painting again soon. I enjoy and look forward to viewing your programs. Thank you for providing encouragement and inspiration. — Darlene

Jerry, I've been watching you on local PBS/Create channel here in southern MS for about six months, Mondays and Fridays, and appreciate your careful instructions for getting effects you're looking for. This morning's episode was 2902 so I don't know how far that lags behind today's date, 20july2020. You commented that many writers question how messy your work looks on its first or second thirty minute show, especially if you're planning to complete on a third show. This is the nature of painting, starting with something, getting the image in order with shades, colors, organization, then pausing to examine it, then going at it again. It is nothing you should sound apologetic about--it is the nature of the beast of painting. We only see 30mins at a time, and good paintings--especially when your showing us relatively slowly how to progress--take a while, basically it's done when it's done, and to get there, things MAY look confused, unfinished, but heck it's unfinished! Golly. Just keep letting folks know you've got a plan, you're going through the steps to complete the plan. If they were all painters, they'd know this is how you get from the start, through the middle, to the end. Thanks.
