I had a fantastic time with Jerry last Monday. He taught me so much and there is much more to learn. It might take at least four or five lessons before I learn everything I need to know. LOL!! Thanks to the whole Yarnell team.

Jerry, I am so blessed to have found you on PBS! I March of 2020 I started painting, and had never picked up a paintbrush .... I started with acrylics and now am doing oils. I have loved your method of teaching and have learned so much. Someday, maybe I can take a class from you personally. The YSO program is inspirational and I don;t foresee ever giving that up. Thank you and may you be richly BLESSED by our LORD for all you have done to help us. With much admiration and gratefulness, Laura Howell from Fayetteville, Tn

Love the show. I like acrylics because I don’t have to worry about toxic stuff in the house. I used acrylic paint but not heavy body. I bought a kit and am about to try out the heavy body paint and the wet palette.

Dear Jerry Yarnell , thank you so much for your PBS channel instructing in how to paint. We watch a PBS channel in Las Vegas Nevada and we are beginners but have learned so much from your clear and concise voice and your inspirational teachings not only of painting but about the Lord. I feel inspired and I feel the presence of the love that you have for the Lord in everything you do. Thank you so much for your show I only wish that I lived near you so that my friend and I could take personal lessons from you.. I do Purchase some of your videos and they have been wonderful presents. Thank you for talking about God and saying you will pray for us: “I have a prayer request for myself” . I am having a total knee replacement in a few weeks and with all of the flu and Covid going on I am very nervous about this surgery. so I am asking you and your family to pray for me to have the peace That surpasses understanding from the Lord, I can’t think of anything more wonderful than to feel peaceful when I go into surgery knowing that I am in the hands of the Lord God, and he will keep me safe.! I have known and felt the presence of the Lord and it is Beyond understanding. Please pray for me. I need God’s grace because I know how great the Lord God is. Thank you very much in advance for your prayers. “” I wish you and yours a very merry Christmas and prosperous new year”” and God bless you all. . Linda Fowler in Henderson Nevada

I am a retired math teacher. My dad and grandma had done some painting, so thought I would try. Painted sunset camp from your Inspiration art book. I never would have thought to mix blue, purple, white, and then burnt sienna for the cloud cover. I love how it turned out. You are amazing.

I have loved watching your programs for a time. I used to paint in oils but gave it up because of pain in my hand and arm. I have been trying to work with colored pencils for a few weeks.

Hello Jerry and friends, Im a 71-year-old beginner who always felt that only those with a gift for fine art painting could paint so I never tried it. One day after retired, I decided to give it a try, but life always seemed to get in the way and it didnt go anywhere. Well, I;m trying acrylic when I read your recommendation that seniors should try this medium. The timing was perfect, last week was my birthday and I ordered the paints, brushes, and joined your online school. I have to tell you, Im so excited and Im having so much fun, I know that I will always be a beginner and I no longer expect the museums to be knocking at my door just like I;m no longer waiting for the PGA green jacket, but I find painting very relaxing. Thank you for sharing your talent. By the way you have a great staff, I left a message, it was promptly returned, she was very helpful and thanks to her I no longer feel like crying when I see you because she explained that you are still with us. Have a great day everyone!

I stumbled on Jerry Yarnell on PBS Create in 2019. I had been told my whole life that I was not artistic and could never learn because I am left handed. Jerry taught me that I can learn. My first Jerry Yarnell painting I ever did was "Taking a Dip". I didn't know it was considered intermediate level. It didn't turn out half bad considering it was my second painting ever. I learned that, first of all, I needed a lot of instruction, but also that I could do it. I soon signed up for YSO and have learned so much more. I started with the snippets, then beginner. I am currently working on the beginner/intermediate paintings. There have been times that I have just watched the videos for the instruction and put paint to canvas after watching the entire set of videos for a particular painting. Jerry is the best instructor for me. I believe it will be true for you also.

Jerry, you mean so much. Not just your teaching techniques, but I feel a real presence of the Lord. I've learned so much. I can't even express how much your show and now 2.0 as done and is doing for me. I know I'm one of millions of people that have, I'm sure, the same story as mine . With that said Thank you!!!! All I can say is my world is very small and you're a very large part of that small world. I love my Appaoosa in the morn painting that I purchased from you. I see it everyday and it tickles me so. I hope you and Miss Donna are well and went through that move unscathed. God Bless you both Sincerely

Hi Jerry, I hope you are doing well. Your lessons are such an important part of my life and I can’t thank you enough. My journey with you began when I lost my son 9 years ago. I was in such a dark place and you literally put the colors back in my world. You are an amazing artist and inspirational teacher - always pointing to the Creator. He’s so big in you. I thank God for you and look forward to what you will do in this new season. Praying His best for you and yours.
