Gail thanks for submiting this rough sketch. Over all this is a very good composition. There are only a couple of changes i would suggest. First of all I would make that pile of large rocks in the lower right much smaller. As they are now they are way too big and overwhelm the other more important objects. Also be sure when you paint the large dead tree on the left that you proportion it correctly. Right now its wider at the top and narrow at the bottom. It should be the oposite. It should have a gradule tapper(larger at the base and geadually tapper to a smaller shape)The trees and mountains look great. Also you might make one of the deer a little different angle. Gail until I see the finished painting its difficult to really make any other suggestions. So go to work and cant wait to see the finished painting. God bless you.
