Grumbacher Gesso (Acrylic Only)

Grumbacher Gesso 16 oz. Artists’ Acrylic Medium. Gesso replaces use of Titanium White (Acrylic painters only.) This is the only Gesso that Jerry uses and is the consistency of warm butter — never runny!

Why does Jerry use Gesso with his acrylic paint?

Jerry uses Gesso with his acrylic paint (not oil) to get a more opaque mix, because Gesso blends so much easier, and because Gesso gives more of an oil-like appearance.
