This snowy landscape makes a wonderful greeting card. The lesson starts by under painting the sky with Gesso and then creating the horizontal glow with light orange in the blue sky, being sure to darken the corners. Next, the various values of distant landscape are added, keeping everything soft and smudgy. A dark tree line is then added to the horizon line. Moving from the horizon line to the foreground, a purple bluish gray is blocked in that will be the under painting for the snow. Three values of gray are used to create depth with the land masses. The session is completed by adding the final layer of dimension to the tree line using the script brush.
