Chesapeake Bay Visitors
Wow! Talk about an exciting trip and subject! This one is not only a great lesson in creating wildlife, but for those of you interested in the geography of where Jerry’s subjects are discovered, you’ll love this one! The Chesapeake Bay is the largest estuary in the United States! More than 150 major rivers and streams flow into the Bay’s 64,299-square-mile drainage basin which covers parts of six states (New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia) plus all of the District of Columbia! (U. S. Geological Survey, 1998) This is an awesome sight, and Jerry loved creating this beauty for you – a subject that makes such an ecological significance! And with the Canadian Geese included in this lesson plus sky, water, various grasses, fog, reflections, and glazing techniques, we have one perfect combination!
