Hi Jerry, I just finished my first ever painting! I followed yor beginning acreylic lessons. Due to a smaller canvas I had to make some changes in the lay out but it seems to work. I can't get over what a great teacher you are. I can't wait to try another one of your DVDs. Being 60+ I know I'll never be a professional artist but I still want to learn as much as I can. Sure wish we could get PBS in Canton Oh to cover your show. If I can do this with your help I can imagine how much you are helping youngER people. lol. Your students are so lucky. It's wonderful to see you not only use your talent but to share what you've learned with the rest of us. God bless you. Is there a certain DVD you would recommend for me to try as my second lesson? I don't want to get a head of my self but I can hardly wait till I've learned enough to work on the eagel. Wow, what a pretty painting.    Thanks again,
                            Rhana

I have always been a person that appreciates art, but I never thought I could be an artist. I have done some Photography and have been told it is very good. I
I started watching Paint this with Jerry Yarnell about 6 months ago, and I now feel I will be ready to start painting.
Jerry does such a good job of explaining what does  during the show, that I think I can give it a try, and I feel it will be enjoyable and I will be able to become an artist in time,
Thanks Jerry, and thanks to your staff.

Jerry: Your show and teachings have not only made me a better painter, but also provide me comfort during a difficult time in my life. When I watch your show, I am calm and completely drawn into what your painting. I believe that your spirituality is reflected through your painting, for it makes me feel better. Are there new epsiodes of "Paint This" being made? All the episodes available in my area are dated 2010.

Yes, Craig, lots of new episodes have been made of our new show "Paint This." Contact your network and urge them to download the episodes through their NETA partner. Thank you for your support! Jerry & Donna Yarnell

Dear Jerry,
I've emailed you before but just wanted to thank you again for all of your unselfishness in sharing your giftings with all of us.   I am sure you are and will be blessed by the Lord.   Many artists have not given of themselves like you do.
I have been an artists since I was a child and did portraits and lanscapes when I was a teenager.  I let it drop for 10 years and I have been watching you for 12 years now, wish I had been able to find you before that.  My husband enjoys watching you too!
I have told many people about your show and hope to be able to come to a workshop sometime.
God bless you and your family,
Stephanie Sorensen

I'm watching your beginningers DVD and learning so much. I always said when I retired I would get back into my art. As a teenager I loved to draw. This is my first with painting. Thank goodness for the internet and for your being welling to teach people like me who can't afford to go to school and learn from wonderful painters like yourself. I regret that I waited so long but I guess getting into it late in life is better than never trying to do something that I find so enjoyable. Putting the brush to the canvas the first time was scary for me. But your detailed instructions was so helpful. Thank you for helping the little guy find a way to learn the joy of painting.

Hi Jerry,
Many thanks for the wonderful workshop last week in Ft. Myers.  Because of your fantastic instructions and the fun we had painting "The Turquoise River", I am inspired to reconnect with my paintbrush and use my God-given talent to His glory.  I love your shows and am so thankful for your website and all you offer on it.  The snit-its are great instructional tools.  It was so nice to meet Donna--what a wonderful lady she is.  Thank you again for blessing me in my painting endeavors.  God bless you and yours.

Hi Jerry,
I just love your shows.  I am a retired teacher and find that learning to paint is so relaxing.  I really wish you would do a show in our area.  I'm sure you'd have a great turnout.  Some suggestions within driving distance for me, and a group of retired teachers who get together to paint, include Jackson, TN, Martin, TN, Paducah, KY, Murray, KY. and lots of other cities.  I notice you're going to be in Bardstown, KY in Oct. and think it would be a great opportunity for you to come to one of the above mentioned cities.  I'd be glad to check out meeting places in the area, if you'd like.  I'd love to hear you preach as well.  I'm sure I could find a church who would love to have you s a guest speaker.
Thanks,
Cheryl G.

Thank you,Cheryl. We are actually trimming back our workshop schedule versus adding more cities. We do have some students from Paducah who attend our Bardstown workshops plus students from Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and various other locations. We hope you can join us at some point in Bardstown too. Stay inspired, God Bless, and Keep Painting! Jerry & Donna Yarnell

Just finished the painting I started in your workshop in Ft. Myers, Florida.  I had such a great time learning and painting with you.  Feel I really learned a great deal and hope to again take your next class when you come back to Florida.  So glad I found you on line and thank you so much for your patience and care of your students.  You are truly a gifted teacher.

Dear Jerry, I love your work and I have learned much from you by watching Paint This. Well I have painted some of those and enjoyed doing so. It now is hard to get a small photo of your work to go by. My wife and I would like a photo of the Steps you reciently done with the stucko and flowers hanging alongside the steps. I am sure you know which one. Anyhow can you help me get a visual aid for painting this. I would apreciate it if you could e-mail it to me. Watching you and Ross is what started my painting.

So happy to find your new website and phone number. Jerry, sadly when I called your old number and spoke to your sister-in-law, she told me that you were no longer painting! This was heart-breaking news;  I am saddened to now know that this was a deliberate attempt to mislead me so that I wouldn't find you, your classes, your new website, online school, etc. Well, we can't pick our relatives, right?   Again, love your new work -- it's far better than anything you've created previously. Love to you and Donna!

I have just discovered your shows on TV and will be exploring more.  Have you ever done a show on how to set up your working area/studio, layouts, tools, what works and what doesn't when you're actually painting.  I want to set up an area in my home and I'd like to take advantage of your experience and thoughts in making this area really work for me in a practical setting.  I can't wait to get started.  And, I really like the way you teach on TV, it's very helpful and effective.

I just finished watching your porgram on painting snow.  What color blue are you using along with the purple to create the gray snow?

Thank you,

Graying a color is illustrated on Jerry's snippet Vol #1 if you are watching from Yarnell School Online or the DVD is available from our online store. Thank you!

Dear Mr. Yarnell
I wanted to write and say "Thank You" for your superb instructional DVD's I have purchased over the years. I have learned more from you than I have from art classes at the University. You have answered questions that art instructors have not been able to answer and I appreciate your gift to teach and your willingness to share your knowledge. Just recently I found your new website! I will be joining your online school!
Thank you again

Dear Jerry, my art lessons with you are fantastic and I am so proud of myself when a painting is completed. My friends and family all want my paintings and are willing to pay for them.  I'm thrilled of course; but these are study lessons.  I added an owl in the 'Stary Stary Night' following your suggestion so as not to be exact, if that were at all possible.  I've been encouraged to contact the Museum of Art in our area to have help priceing my paintings. But these are our study lessons and I have not composed anything on my own. Strangely I'm a bundle of nurves. Kathy from our library has encouraged me to enjoy the art world process. I've been combing through the 'FAQ'S& amp;#039; about this but need a little more information about what to do.

Donna,We were so lucky to catch you before we left Oklahoma.I never dreamed we'd be mtg all of you including your dad & sister-in-law.You are truly genuine people with no airs.I like that.We joined the online school & are painting the bridge scene right now.We prepared our palette, got our brushes, & are finishing day 1. Jerry's instructions are leading us right along to success. Hopefully by 3/20 we will be ready for the workshop. Our studio is the kitchen bar. We'll need another set of brushes from you at the workshop. We are trying out some old ones that we have.Your online school is going to be a raving success. We set up the speakers to Rick's laptop and then we watch it over and over to get it right, then we argue as to what to do.  I'm anxious to see what it will look like when we do day 2.  We're having so much fun between arguments.

I have watched your program for years. In 2010 I began to paint with acrylics. Almost all of my paintings are of my kids, g-kids, and gg-kids. If I am in your part of the world, is it possible to stop by and meet you???

Of course. We just ask that you call ahead as we may have private lessons in session or we may be on the road teaching workshops. 877-681-4ART (4278). Thank you!
